Decision Making For A Desired State Of Affairs - 1422 Words
According to Kreitner and Kinicki (2013, p. 330). ââ¬Å"Decision making entails identifying and choosing alternative solutions that lead to a desired state of affairs.â⬠It is important to factor in making sure you thoroughly think about choices or options when making decisions. The choice you make could affect many different aspects initially and in the long run. Therefore, ââ¬Å"Learning to be efficient in decision making and to prioritize decisions we must make is essentialâ⬠(Bartlett,, 2015, p. 14). After looking at the various stages in the decision making process, I believe I excel at all of them in some aspect. I exhibit a lot of skills and experience that are necessary in each step of decision making. In my position, I have to be creative and pinpoint areas that need to be either corrected and or added. So therefore, I have to determine and initiate what decisions must be made. Also, I generate alternative solutions, evaluate every situation, and implement the decision that was chosen to take. Being in my current position, I take on the responsibility of ensuring that everyone is equipped in being productive in their job and when circumstances arise I am the go-to person. An example of a simple decision making process that I encountered was with one of our major sources used for producing our work.
